These boys are from our church school and I teach a woodworking class. The headmaster ask me to have the boys make dulcimers and did not know what a dulcimer was or anything about them. It has taken us two school years to complete them but we got them done. They are made of dooskin with poplar fingerboards, two of the boys can play simple songs. In the process I got to like the instruments and have made one more and am learning how to play.
Hi Geoffrey, and welcome to the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to spend some time, exchange ideas about the dulcimer and to meet some good people. I must say that that is a great ministry that you have withe the hospice chaplaincy.
