Mark Gilston plays two well known traditional Old Time tunes on mountain dulcimer. Both of these tunes come the piano playing of from Virginia multi-instrumentalist, Hobart Smith. Hobart had a very distinctive style of piano playing which was derived from his banjo technique. Lonsesome Road Blues is also known as the tune for the song, "Going Down This Road Feeling Bad", recorded by Woody Guthrie among many others.
