Where to start?

Greetings from the UK

My David Lynch Student Dulcimer has been dispatched and is eagerly awaited!

In preparation, I have been watching various videos and reading. All interesting and informative but it does raise an important question. As I don’t know which style I am likely to end up pursuing, I’m not sure how best to start. 

I’m unlikely to come across any other MD players so will have to rely on books & internet. So what resources would you recommend?

For background I am primarily a Church musician playing ukulele and singing. I also play in a folk orchestra. My musical tastes are varied but seem to mostly focus on early music. I like a structured approach to learning and have a good understanding of music theory.

your thoughts and wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
