Thanks to all of you for the nice welcomes. I'm learning to post and respond, so forgive any repetitions. I shaped a turkey feather today to use as a pick. Unfortunately Merlin forgot to imbue it with the magic I need to automatically play well. Guess it back to good old practicing. Sigh. (grin)

Welcome, Brenda, to this little corner of dulcimer heaven. Fascinating is a good word for this instrument.  It's simple yet distinctively complex simultaneously.   Hope you enjoy it here.

Hi Brenda, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer.  It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.

Ben
