Thanks, @Sam. It is indeed a charming little dulcimer.  I recorded it with a handheld Zoom H4N.  I know lots of other people have octave dulcimers but I don't think people play them enough. I'm trying to develop a repertoire that works on these little guys.

Exceptional clear, ringing tone in that little dulcimer Dusty. Your playing is really good too.

Thanks, @Robin-Thompson and @Brian-G, for your encouragement.

Yes, Robin, I have an octave dulcimette and a baritone dulcimette both made by Ron Ewing.  They are phenomenal instruments with quite a punch despite their diminutive size.  musicpunchmusic

Beautifully played, Dusty.  That Ohio-made instrument sounds good, too. :)

Thanks so much, @Tricia and @Elvensong.  I appreciate your listening and taking the time to comment.

Irwin is on my list of tunes to learn.

Very nice! Sounds sweet on the "bonsai" dulcimer as Ariane likes to call them. Another fave is Planxty Irwin. One of the first tunes I learned on dulcimer.
