Happy to help and glad to hear the info was useful. I recently found an old cassette recording that I made of Blarney Pilgrim and posted it on this site. You can find it in my Audios. It's a challenging tune but lots of fun to play. good luck!

I found the sheet music for The Blarney Pilgrim on Slowplayers.org (The link to the tune is below)

I learned it by ear years ago. My Mountain Dulcimer is tuned to mixolydian D (DAD) and I tuned the A string down to G so that I could play the tune in G. If you play the melody on the bass string it sounds more like an Irish Bouzouki and with the dulcimer tuned this way you get a nice drone that is bagpipe like. The tune starts on the note D so you get a nice run up to the G note I hope this helps.
