Sorry, folks --- I meant "modeled after the Fender Stratocaster guitar!" Whole 'nother animal! Sorry!
Wanted: Solid Body Electric Dulcimer
Yes, I've made some solid-bodied electrics, modeled after the Fender Telecaster guitar. Something different in the dulcimer world. I don't have any now, but I could make another.
There’s a couple of solid bodies on EBay right now
Morgan Wright at Watauga Lake Dulcimers makes electric dulcimers at a reasonable price.
Fellow fotmd member Martin Oesterle sell solidbodys in his webshop. I don't know whether he ships outside Europe and the shipping costs but asking never hurts:

Kens suggestion will be cheaper in any case though
Lowell -- if you want to experiment, go get a 36" piece of 2x8 Pine and a piece of 1x2 Poplar or Oak from a Big Box store That will make the body and the fretboard. Shop the electronics, tuning machines and fret wire from someplace like CBGitty.com, and start building. The shape can be anything you want.
Once you get an arrangement you like, then invest in the pretty body and fretboard.

I really like the looks and specs of the ones made by Cedar Creek but the wait list is huge. Been playing about 12 years and would like to experiment with one.
