Hello all from western Colorado. Been playing mountain dulcimer for several years and have built a few. Been inactive on the site for quite a while. I have played guitar, mandolin and banjo all my life but at my age (75) find the dulcimer easier than the others these days.I have been building mountain dulcimer using beetle kill pine that is especially cheap our here in Colorado. The sound doesn't seem to bad and the appearances are unique, very southwest. Anyway, I hope to be more active this year and make a few workshops, although I missed the one on Colorado recently. Dang grand kids keep have special things happen that I have to go see them for. However, most opf them know how to play a mountain dulcimer now.

I play flute, so this is a new adventure for me as well. My first string instrument, but I'm loving it! If you have any questions about the site, just holler!
