Hey JennylynnM I'm always glad to see a fellow Canadian on board. You'll love the dulcimer and you'll love this site. Best wishes, Gordon.
Welcome to FOTMD, JennlynnM. It's good to have you aboard.
"The dulcimer sings a sweet song."
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! You have all made this journey even more exciting!
My first question is hopefully a simple one. I am a fan of a warmer sound...which wood would you recommend for a richer/warmer sound?
Greetings from Vermont Jennylynn and welcome to the site. Yeah, we all love Gordon and you'll have a fun dulcimer friend in him. Enjoy the site. I hope he teaches you his style or noter/drone. It's a lot of fun.
*WELCOME!* We are so happy you are here!
Hi JennlynnM - Just so you know - you are hooked for life :-) The mountain dulcimer has a way of doing that! And in my opinion, there is nothing more beautiful to play hymns than the dulcimer. I look forward to hearing your Psalm compositions!
Oh, and another fun note - my oldest daughter is Jennifer Lynn M. Good name there!
Have fun in your new (and life long) mountain dulcimer adventure!
Hi Jenny Lynn, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
Welcome, JennlynnM, to this little corner of dulcimer heaven. Hope you enjoy it here.
Hey Jennlynnm, welcome aboard. Glad ya found us.
