Now that woke me up JC. And what a joy to see your maniacal dulcimer love radiating out. I don't think this has ever been done with more zest, just love it, plus Lexie needed to hear you do this one.Grin.gif

Thank you Nila, it is such an easy tune to mess with, I know that I am not alone in using it as a 'datum' when I effect string changes ect

Have a good holiday

Thank you kindly BrianG, I truely appreciate you listening, and Randy, great that you took the trouble to check out 'the other one' ! Dave, I have never cared much for 'audio' cards of any description, but will take the remark as a compliment ! (never did say how much I liked that shot of you band, its great !) Kevin, you have no idea how much I wished I lived nearer to all you players and makers over there, so much to learn !!! Would like to chat to you about a shared interest sometime soon, if that is OK with you?

here's hoping that you all enjoy Christmas in the manner in which you would choose !!!

John

Oh yeh, I forgot to mention, that teardrop is one beautiful piece of workmanship. And the quality of the sound is wonderful. I wish it was not such a long swim acrossed to there, would be nice to share awork bench for a while. Kevin..

You got flourish John Henry!...w/both hands....& yet make it all seem so understated & integral to the whole.

That dulcimer is capable of singing sweetly and punching the rhythm....like both ways you play the tune.

Hi John Henry! What a great take on a favorite X-mas tune. And of course, you dulcimer sounds great (as they always do). Thanks for sharing this, and Happy Holidays to you. :)

Hi there little Steph, message received and understood ! Hard luck, I am reasonably sure that he will accept it, and you must have Marion's note about potential postage cost's ? Incidentally, that dulcimer is not mean tone, I only do'em for me, as there are folks who like to get a bit pendantic about the merits of this or that fretting pattern, and while I am big enough to fight my own corner, others may not want the hassle ?

thanks for being around earlier this year

Excellent JH. Sure didn't sound like that when I tried itGrin.gif Love the sound of your cherry dulcimer. DAc is a favorite tuning too. Thank you for the information on tuning, wood and strings. It helps me learn as I still consider myself pretty new at learning about the lap dulcimer.
