Hi Kam, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer.  It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.

Thanks for the welcome!  So excited to find this group.  I got my music degree at Appalachian State in North Carolina, and always saw mountain dulcimers and wanted one, but of course as a student I was too poor.  Then a few years ago we were visiting Boone to see family (I married a man I met in college), and we passed by High Country Dulcimers just as they were having a going-out-of-business sale.  I screamed at my husband to stop and ended up buying a mountain dulcimer and a banjo!  I enjoy fingerpicking old folk tunes, especially Celtic dances, as well as singing.
