Noter playing stimulates critical thinking. : )

Like play a tune then think about what just transpired. Sometimes I write a quick reminder of a technique or syncopation. Sometimes some positive thinking self encouragement.

Here's another page of this nonsensical horseshit. Anyone else have a north south noter and a east west fretboard? And hope ever the twain shall meet?

I'm looking forward to getting together with my fellow noterizers.

Is this big ball a going concern? Or is there cause for concern?

Got in the habit of writing down thoughts between the tunes. If there were any. Thoughts that is. Or tunes. : )

A couple ideas on this page are precious to me.

I didn't play much music for a couple years just enough to maintain the skills not much creativity.

Five months ago something clicked and I resumed dulcimer enjoyment.

Ever see that movie Phenomenon? Like, John Travolta gets struck by a bolt of some sort and starts learning things at a rapid rate?

Ha! I didn't get struck by a bolt but have rethought and reviewed how I play the dulcimer and have been so full of new ideas I can barely keep up. It's fun!

Seems as if I have valued developing technique to play difficult passages with a noter over zeroing in on fluid and dynamic tone.

I started writing down shorthand ideas on topics that lead me to further thought and action.

I posted one of those pages here couple weeks ago here's another.

I'm ready for May 19!

Could we move the date forward a month? Like April 19? :  )

Your notes look great, @randy-adams!  Wish I could get to watch you play 'live' and see how you can note across strings.

Been writing down passing noter thoughts for a few weeks. About what it takes to make music with a stick.
