Ken, I double checked my messages with the guy I got the dulcimer from and have some corrections to my earlier post. Apparently the T34 is a special he ordered with a redwood top and, as you said walnut sides and back. The back is also special in that it's two pieces, bookmarked with a maple strip down the middle.
I thought it looked familiar. Yes, that is a spruce top. Back and sides should be walnut.
"The dulcimer sings a sweet song."
Hi Cynthia, the ukulele I traded was a mahogany Pono concert MC. Are you by chance a ukulele player?
You have a good eye Ken. It's a McSpadden T34 made in 1977. I believe it has a spruce top.
It's very pretty. I'm curious which ukulele you traded for it.
Very nice dulcimer. Do you know who made it? It looks like a McSpadden.
Thank you all! I was lucky to find such a good one for my first dulcimer. (Traded an ukulele for it.)
Your dulcimer is lovely and I hope the two of you make great music together!
That is a really lovely dulcimer!
A pretty mountain dulcimer! Happy strumming!
