that was soooooooooooo FUN....love these two instruments together and Shawn-Wright, the bowed psaltery is the easiest instrument to play.   It's a joy to play too!!  I've made and sold 94 of them and mostly to older folks.  YOU CAN LEARN THIS ONE....The person that played the bowed psaltery here is quite good as she uses two bows...and played in the key of D.  When I play with other bowed psaltery folks, I tune to key of C.  That's Cggg.  That's so they don't have to skip all over the place to play the sharps in the key of D.  aloha, irene

Enjoyed that very much.  Bowed psaltery is a great instrument I wish I had started learning long ago.  Too late now to begin as I don't even have time to become as proficient on the dulcimer as I would hope to be.

Here's one that Gregg Schneeman, bowed psaltery impresario, and I recorded a while back. It's of course an O'Carolan composition. Key of D, DADD tuning.
