Hi Leslye,  John Knopf is a friend of mine and told me about you.  I live in Canton.  I guess I'm am advanced beginner or intermediate.  Anyway, I know about a dulcimer group you might like that would be a great help to you.  The main group meets in Garden City!!  The mountain dulcimer group meets in Canton.  Message me or something so we can meet.  I'd be glad to introduce you to a great bunch of players.

 Leslye,

I'm in Westland, MI and I build dulcimers. Maybe I could help you?

Hello Leslye, I got a dulcimer about 3 or 4 years ago and this is the first dulcimer video I saw and it did indeed answer a lot of questions for me

also I suggest that you may want to talk with someone like Cynthia Wigington who is a member of FOTMD and knows lots and also Strumelia who is the site owner and also knows lots. If you go onto members profile pages, you can check out our own videos and better understand our techniques.

Greetings from Vermont Leslye and welcome to the site. You'll find all the help you need here. This site is what got me going. I'd start with noter/drone if I were you. If there's a dulcimer club near you it's probably Dad, but it's good to play noter style too.

Hi Leslye, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer.  It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.

Ben
