Where on Dartmoor are you - we are in South Brent - email me at J.Rawlinson at plymouth.ac.uk.
I would endorse John Shaw's suggestion that you join Nonsuch Dulcimer Club - South West regular get togethers are in Bristol - next (to which I can't go) is on 2 October. However as John says maybe there will be enough interest for a session in Devon. We had a Dulcimer theme and workshops at the 2015 South Brent Folk Day and there was a fair bit of interest.
I'm sure Keith Woolgar, the chap who is hoping to arrange sessions in Devon, won't mind me passing on to you his email address. He isn't a member here on FOTMD, and I've not been able to phone him because the phone number I have for him is wrong. I have emailed him to say you may be in touch.
His email address is

He and I are both members of the Nonsuch Dulcimer Club - the UK's national club for players of both Hammered and Mountain Dulcimers. It is well worth joining! Their website is www.dulcimer.org.uk
Welcome, Magdalena. I'm sure you'll find the people here very supportive. There is someone in Devon who is trying to start an MD get-together in Devon. I'll have to enquire how that's going and get back to you.
Welcome, Magdalena, to this little corner of dulcimer heaven. There may be more players in your area than you think. We have a UK players group here. You might just make contact with someone close. Hope you enjoy it here.
Hi Lady, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
Hello, I’ve just started with a Mcspadden scrollneck wallnut,Dennis
Great that you've joined us here on FOTMD Magdalena! Welcome, friend.
