Welcome to FOTMD Pam. It's good to have you aboard. I haven't seen you since the Great Dulcimer Round-ups at the Sawmill in Cook Forest. I look forward to your participation in this site.
"The dulcimer sings a sweet song."
Pam, Sligo is actually in my Rand McNally. I saw that this morning after I posted on your page. I'm in Westmoreland County in a small town of Cowansburg. (Which isn't on the map) Between the small towns of Herminie and Lowber, (which are on the map)
Funny you should ask about festivals in the area. There will be a gathering near Morgantown this Spring towards the end of March. It's called Wartz n All. I'll explain later...
I know it a good ways to travel for you, but I thought I would mention it. There is a member of FOTMD that lives in Reedsville, Ken Longfield. He makes the trip every year. We have a blast jamming and laughing. It'll be listed here in the festival/events section as soon as it is finalized.
Oh, and if you want to meet a bunch of people, join the chat room at any time you hear the bee boop.
Hope to see you at Wartz and in the chat room.
Welcome Pam, sounds like you're going to be fun!
Hi Pam, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
Hey Pam, welcome aboard. Glad ya found us. From one PA'er to another. Just where is Sligo. Sounds like a small town somewhere in PA. Just like where I live.
Howdy and welcome to FOTMD!
Welcome, Pam, to this little corner of dulcimer heaven. Nice to see another 4 string player here. I started with 4 equidistant and still use it on several instruments. Hope you enjoy it here.
