My name is Lajuana Ponder Pena. I'm originally from north Louisiana, currently living in Kansas. I have 7 parrots, 1 toeless abandoned chicken, 5 dogs, 6 cats, various numbers of freshwater fish but only one husband (my second actualy). I bought a dulcimer 14 years ago but just learning to play since January this year (2016). What took me so long?!? I entered a talent show after only 6 months of lessons. Played Grey Cat Medley. My music stand broke before performance but I made it through.

Welcome, PonderThis, to this little corner of dulcimer heaven. I'll bet at least 70% of the folks here in the US heard or saw their 1st dulcimer in Mt View. Playing without tab is a great goal. I try to learn most things by ear, but I can read music, so if the score is out there, it can be a help. Hope you enjoy it here.
