I just realized that you are Dulcimer Johnson on SoundCloud.  It might be easier for us to interact here.

hi Robin, it's great to see somebody else in our country playing the dulcimer. I live near Perth and head to Auld Reekie fairly often to visit folk. I'd be well up for meeting if you'd like at some point n perhaps pick one another's brains, with or without dulcimers, your call. I know a couple of others in Edinburgh that are not on here, one of which has quite a number of well made dulcimers from the Appalachian Mountains. Mine are not that grand.

Be interested in talking recording techniques n the likes with you, see if you've had some similar issues as I've had.

Anyways ... i'm liking your tunes. Keep going

Welcome, Robin, to this little corner of dulcimer heaven.  Please join the UK/European Players Group.  I'm sure you'll find some other dulcimists in your part of the UK.  Hope you enjoy it here.

Hi Robin, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer.  It's a good place to come, spend sime time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.

Greetings from Vermont Robin and welcome to the site. It's good you found the dulcimer on a whim and this site too. There are some great across the pond players on here you would enjoy, like John Henry, john p, Robin Clark, Val Hughes to name a few. They play in the old style, noter/drone, which is my favorite style. Enjoy your time here. By the way, until we made it to the new world, my family was nearly all Scottish, so it's great to have you here.
