I play a chromatic three-string guitar, originally based on the mountain dulcimer but with a very small sound body. It is basically a *strumstick*, but since it is not a diatonic scale like the mountain dulcimer or the more typical diatonic strumsticks, it is actually more accurate, I guess, to just call it a "three string guitar". Anyway, I use the instrument to accompany my original songs, and the occasional cover tune.
