Thank you! I don't really make any replica or reproduction instruments. The body size and shape are the only things that are close to original. The tailpiece, peghead and soundholes are my design. Some old Virginia dulcimers used zither pins or homemade pins. The original of this one used wood tuning pegs. Once I purchase what I need for making wood pegs and installing them I intend to make more of a replica. Although Kevin Messinger made a beautiful replica of the Honaker holly leaf design that's about as close as you can get.
This is very beautiful. Okay, soooooooo to say, "It's from the area, or Reginal"...sooooooo the dulcimers that you make from the old patterns...did they use zither pins for the strings?
