One of my favorite Turlough O'Carolan tune. I'm playing a Simerman dulcimer.

Matt, by how I position my dulcimer you mean I play left handed.  I always play left handed. Since O'Carolan tunes were composed on the harp. They sound best when it's flat pick or finger pick on the dulcimer. To play it smoother I worked out my fingering so there is at least one other string ringing beside the melody. I play the melody across the strings and add arpeggio on long notes.

Matt, Yes, This is my own arrangement.

Ron Zuckerman's arrangement is quiet good as well. You can find more O'Carolan dulcimer arrangements on Neal Hellman's book "Celtic Songs and Slow Airs for Mountain Dulcimer.
