More little dulcimers
I have built quite a few since I last posted here (about a dozen). They have been getting progressively nicer as I have gained experience. The nicest ones have gone to customers, but I am planning to squeeze another one for me into the queue. They have been a mix of little dulcimers and stick dulcimers (also mostly little ones).
This little 17" VSL is poplar and red oak. I call this model the Wren.
Here is a tiny stick. I call this model the Bluebird. This one is chromatic and made from poplar, red oak, and baltic birch. It is ebonized and it was a pleasant surprise how nice the Baltic birch looked when ebonized.
This one is still a work in progress. It is a English walnut, black walnut, and Spanish cedar Wren. I really would like to keep it, but it is going to a customer in Japan. I may have to build myself one just like it.
