My New Oriole

I've been a member of this group for a while, and I now am the proud possessor of my own little dulcimer. The Oriole, made by Pete Staehling, arrived yesterday. It is made of black walnut and poplar and has a 21" VSL. It has a beautiful, quiet tone (which is good, as I'm going to be practicing at a relative's house while on vacation). It sticks out of the top of my backpack--hopefully that won't be a problem with airlines. I plan to put it under my seat when I fly. For anyone who does real backpacking, rather than backpacking via airplane, it is extremely lightweight. Photos are on my page and the Main page.
