I have two ginger dulcimers. One has a compensated bridge, and one doesn’t. They sound different, in comparison to each other, but I’m not sure which sound I prefer. Both are tuned to DAD. Is it really necessary to have a compensated bridge on a smaller dulcimer for DAD tuning? What is the advantage?
