@ariane

I would like to introduce my NEW ONLINE PROJECT - Summer 2020.

The winner of the facebook tune survey for this project is the beautiful traditional tune "Shenandoah".

Before recording please tune your instrument.

Please record this tune in the key of D at a tempo of 60 bpm (beats per minute).

When recording please either listen with headphones to a metronome or to the basic recordings (see below youtube links) to keep the tempo. I used arrangements (a melody as well as a harmony part) by Burt I. Kahn .

You can use an arrangement you like, your own one or even improvisations (adhering to above mentioned criteria).

Please record 3 rounds without ritardando at the end (the arrangement should have 10 bars per round).

If you like to sing some of the verses you are very welcome to do so.

It would be great if I received your video (if possible also with a separate audio mp3 file) OR audio recording as mp3 file in 3-4 weeks. Please mail your recording to arianedulci8atgmail.com

If you only do an audio recording it would be wonderful if you sent a picture (preferably with your instrument).

Please do not put any effects (like equalizer, compressor or reverb) on your recording - I will need it "dry".

After having received all your recordings I will mix them together and create a video which will also be posted in the relevant dulcimer facebook groups, forums and on youtube.

Please let me know if you like to participate in this online project and if you have further questions.

For better organizing and realizing this and any further online projects I have recently created a new (private) facebook group called "Online Music Projects - Dulcimer & more". If you are interested in online projects and like to become a member you are very welcome:( https://www.facebook.com/groups/325746945093143/ )
