February 17, 2021 is this year's date for Ash Wednesday. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Christian season of Lent which is the 46 days before Easter. Lent commemorates Jesus' time in the wilderness where he was tempted and triumphed over the tempter. Lent is a time for meditation, self reflection and self sacrifice.
