Versions of the tune with which I'm most familiar include those by Jerry Rockwell (in a medley of Goin' to Boston/June Apple/ Harrison Town/Old Joe Clark) and the Camp Creek Boys.

My Keith Young 1977 teardrop is in Bagpipe tuning (all strings tuned to the same note with the bass string an octave lower than the middle and melody strings). Plectrum is a short quill and noter is homemade.
