Help: Technical recording question about Bagg's Acoustic Preamp/equalizer set up

Help: I just got a new Blue Lion with a Baggs pickup. Janita suggested buying a Bagg's Acoustic preamp/equalizer which I did. Now, I want to record. I have both Garage Band software and Audacity. So, I will buy cables for the dulcimer to connect to the Bagg's preamp, but then do I plug the Bagg's preamp into my Mac laptop? I don't really want to amplify while recording. I am an idiot. Thank you.
