First Performance

A year ago I never would have thought *I* would be playing a musical instrument, let alone performing with one.   I just discovered the dulcimer a few months ago.  This weekend I performed with a group at a local senior center.  Some of the songs I just played chords on but others I played the melody.  I didn't sing along as I was concentrating so much on my playing but I am proud to say I didn't screw up or give up.  

I am so blessed to have found a welcoming group that encourages and includes me.  I felt like a kid at their first Christmas concert.

So, to those that are just starting out, hang in there!  Look for opportunities and say yes when it presents itself.  I never knew playing a dulcimer could make me so happy.  :)
