I'm glad that you like it. It's not my usual playing style. This was played on a "flat-lander special"... a custom all walnut tear drop dulcimer in which the sound holes are natural knot holes. The tuning pegs were carved from the same walnut. I say, "flat-lander special" in that it was made by a woodworker who was making them for their looks, not their musical qualities, in the mountains of Kentucky. I actually had to take the frets off and have them repositioned by a real luthier. The final result is an instrument that is best played using a pick and chorded by hand, as this tune was played. It has a very unique sound that I like for this melody.

Candice, I just heard this and i really like what you did- it's beautiful. Sounds like a cuckoo bird calling in a way...very haunting.
