There is so much history about the dulcimer that you can find on this site. There are a few reputable authors who have done some excellent writing about the history of the dulcimer.There will be a gathering in Berea KY in May of 2019 which will include some history and the traditional way of playing the dulcimer as was done in the early days of the dulcimer.
