Luthiers, Builder question on finishes

I am new here so forgive me if i am in the wrong forum. I am looking at a big dulicmer, 29", 3 1/2" deep with maybe a history of being a baritonbut now tuned in DAD. It was made by Punch in Freemont CA, in 1978. Ever heard of this luthier? Thoughts and opinions. Thanks
