Hi everyone,

I'm still pretty new around here, but I really wanted to share the Bob Thomason dulcimer I (finally) received this week. It was an eBay find and USPS sure made it an adventure to get it all the way up north to MN, but I'm so glad I waited it out. So beautiful! I believe it's a maple top with walnut sides and back. It's my first "proper" dulcimer with actual tone woods...the others I've been learning on were cardboard or laminate. I can't believe the difference.

I actually have one of these dulcimers.  I got it off of ShopGoodwill, and it is a gorgeous instrument with crazy sustain.  The only downside is that the strings are a little far apart and there was some buzzing when I received it.  I have taken it to one local luthier so far, and they had thought they fixed the buzz, but it is still there.  I plan on taking it to the other (more respected) luthier in town this week, and I am hoping that he can fix the buzz and MAYBE add a 1.5/8.5.  

I am glad to see that there is at least SOMEONE else out there that knows of these Andrew instruments!
