All original Walter Martin Sunhearth AD-4, Lorraine Lee model. Serial number 968, dated 31 August 1990. Bear Meadow's dulcimer website has info on Walter Martin and his Sunhearth dulcimers.
Built-in acoustic pickup and 1/4-inch audio jack (works well). Grover planetary tuners. Overall length 41 inches. Minor bout 5-3/4 inches. Waist 4 inches. Major bout 7-1/2 inches. Fretboard length (nut to tailpiece) 34-1/4 inches. Vibrating string length: 27-5/8 inches. Soundboard has a couple shallow scratches as shown in the photos. Currently set up as three-string. Has not been played, in bedroom storage, for about 25 years.
Hard case with key. Case exterior has “shadows” of stickers from days gone by. No adhesive residue present. Also includes 6-foot-long 1/4-inch male-male audio cable and extra D'Addario 0.012 and 0.014 strings.
