I built my first dulcimer in 1973. Starting in 1980 I owned my own shop, String Wizard Musical Instruments, in New Jersey for 17 years. After moving to Virginia I worked for Huss & Dalton Guitars for 19 years. I am now retired but still build instruments in my own shop. My website is www.jcalkinguitars.net. My Facebook page is John Calkin
John,
My name is Bill Haegele. I recently found and purchased a mountain dulcimer built by you in a small shop in Lexington, Va. My wife and I live in Natural Bridge, Va. Here are some photos I took of the instrument. I would like to get some information from you regarding the construction and price (for insurance purposes). If you wish, you can contact me at bluesky636@verizon.net. I could then provide you with the serial number of the instrument. Since we are only about 35 minutes away from Greenville, if you are willing, I would love to meet you and visit your shop. Hoping to hear from you soon.

"The dulcimer sings a sweet song."
Hi J., and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
Ben
