Howay the lads !
Anyone else noticed that Geordie songs can be the devil to play well in melody/noter drone style.
The main problem I find is that the typical Geordie song is dodging up and down the fretboard with almost every note, so you are constantly having to reverse the direction your arm is moving. Something to do with the amount of moving mass involved(a whole arm full :)) compared to a few fingers worth for chord style I guess.
Give 'Byker Hill' or 'Bobby Shafto' a try for example and compare it with something like 'Just As the Tide Was Flowing'.
Or is it just me.
