Hi Kate. I got a McSpadden Ginger to do chording playing with. It's the only way it works. They are absolutely in tune with themselves, have a sensible headstock for changing strings, sound great, have the coolest gig bag I've ever seen. I recommend the cherry. They come set-up either G or D, so depending on your voice you will probably want the Dad one. The best thing I ever did for my dulcimer playing. And so light and small to lug around to play with others. No, I don't work for them but I've bought a number of dulcimers and this is the only one I give 5 starts to. Have fun here.
