The Ritchie family gathered for Christmas and these scenes are taken from that telecast. The episode was hurried by a last-minute decision by NBC to show President Eisenhower lighting the D.C. Christmas tree using a gold telegraph key from his home in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania where he was convalescing from a serious heart attack that September.
