OK, I just learned a song from Stephen Seifert at the Dulcimer School entitled "Give Me the Roses While I Live"although Stephen calls it "GiveMe theRoses Now." It was recorded by the Carter Family in the 1930s but written by R. H. Cornelius who was born in the 1870s and died in the 1930s. I know he published a book of gospel songs in 1928 but don't know if that song was included.

Can anyone suggest how to find out definitively if this song is in thepublic domain?
