Here's my three-stringed take on the Beach Boys classic. Southern California meet Appalachia.
I use a 1+ fret here, but you don't need it and can get those chords around the 6 fret. Of course, the Beach Boys modulate in a way that would require a chromatic fretboard, so I just ignore that.
