Hi teachers! I do not teach mountain dulcimer but I do teach hammered dulcimer in students’ homes. For the last 2 months, however, I have suspended lessons in folks’ homes due to the pandemic and the stay-at-home orders in my state (NC). I have some students (specifically, a new one) who are itching for me to come to their house for lessons, now that our state is in Phase 1 of reopening and relaxing restrictions.

What are other teachers doing right now as far as “in-person” lessons? I have some ukulele students that I am still teaching online and plan to keep it that way for awhile longer. But for this new student, I think it would be very challenging to teach him online when we’ve never had face-to-face lessons and he is a rank beginner.
