I am thinking about getting a dulcimer with a diatonic fretboard for noter drone style. Right now I play Wabash Cannonball in Noter Drone style tuned DAdd and I use the 6 1/2 fret. I’m trying to figure out if this song can be played on a diatonic fretboard. Do I change modes, keys, tuning or do I just get out my modern dulcimer when I want to play that song?
