Possible to play in G or C??

Okay all you wonderful theory folk you've been so helpful to me in the past answering all kinds of questions. Today I have an easier one for you. I'm getting a McSpadden dulcimer with a one and a half fret. I'd like to go to an acoustic jam ( all guitars and ukes) and be able to play with them. I have my dulcimer tuned DAD. All their music is in the key of C G or sometimes F. Is there an easy way for me to play with them using a capo? Or do I need to save my dollars and get a chromatic? Hoping for the first Thanks.
