Born again noter player

Six years ago I completely dropped the noter and became an exclusive fingerstyle player. Never touched a noter again and never planned to. Then two months ago I completed my Galax dulcimer and in keeping with tradition I got out some dowel stick and made a noter. A Galax dulcimer just doesn't sound right unless played with a noter. Not only did I rediscover just how versatile the noter is but I come to the conclusion that a dulcimer is not a dulcimer unless its played with a noter. Sometimes oneself has to stray and return to appreciate things many have forgotten or taken for granted... Bob.
