Easiest or Best way to play in Key of C

Since March of 2023 I have been learning to play chords in DAA tuning. However, there are many songs in the key of C that I would like to play. For example Rockin' With the Rhythm of the Rain is in C and may be played using the C, F, G, Am, and D chords.

I have a 1 1/2 fret available to use and from reading some previous discussions on this site, have decided that tuning to CGc would probably work best. The only hitch is that I don't know how to form the chords in CGc. Would someone kindly tell me which frets to use for this?
