My first lap dulcimer was essential wall art for 20 years. Finally, in 2014 I had some instruction and found my way to a wonderful group of dulcimer and string players in Madison, Indiana. Since that time our strings group morphed into a mostly guitar group and a mostly dulcimer group with some crossover on occasion we are playing in two separate groups: The Back Porch Players and MadTowne Dulcimers & Strings. I've attended Kentucky Music Week a couple of times and bit by bit I continue to grow in my playing ability.
I am a pastor in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) church in Madison, Indiana. My wife indulges me with my interest in this genre of music. We enjoy travel, reading, walking, and singing.
Hey Bill, welcome aboard. Glad ya found us.
Hi Bill, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
