That's a nice looking dulcimer, Brian. You can tell that it is built in a Virginia style. I'm curious about the metal rings on the sound holes. How did you attach them? Are you worried about the rattling when you play?

I used epoxy to set them into the hole. I hadn't planned on doing that, but I have learned that every once in a while, you get a project that doesn't go as planned and that is the opportunity to experiment with everything. So, I used some dye that I never used, found some grommets, old fence staples, and even attempted French polishing.
