Thanks Scott. I keep it tuned DAA and it's been a good instrument for me. I learned a lot while building it and I've learned a lot playing itin the 1 1/2 yearssince it was built (doesn't seem like that long ago).

Thanks BarbaraI finished the dulcimer two or three weeks ago and the newness still hasn't worn off, I still play it more than my other dulcimers. Putting the tuners and the hitchpins on the ends of the fretboard was a late idea. I reviewed the Tennessee box dulcimers on the web when I was getting ready to attach the fret board and saw the screw-eyes (for tuners) and hitchpins were on the ends of the fretboard on the old box dulcimers. I wanted to hold at least a symbolic resemblance to the old box dulcimers. Also, I like the tuners and hitchpins on an angle so they don't stick out on the ends of the dulcimer.I'm drawn to playing the old songs from the 1800's and early 1900's and mostly noter style so far with it tuned DAA.Dave
