Thanks for comment Dave, have you checked out the videos that Randy Adams has posted which shows him using at least one noter (and maybe more?) across the fretboard. Thats what got me movingbest wishes John

TomI'm sorry to have missed yesterday's meeting also. I came down with some kind of stomach flu on Friday morning and haven't been able to do anything all weekend. My granddaughter had it also and missed school Friday, so I think it was something going around. The timing for me was lousy because I really wanted to be there.I think yesterday's session lead by June Goforth was to have a little different format than the regular club meetings. June was present when the club originated in 1989, so she is one of the club's matriarchs and I always appreciate her contributions at club meetings.I may be out of town for the March club meeting but I'm hoping to be able to attend more club meetings the rest of this year. I would like to try to present a DAA noter-playing workshop and/or an Aeolian Mode or Dorian Mode song workshop just to present a break from the DAD norm. We'll see what the future holds after March.ThanksDave

Hi Dave, there is a forum where you can offer your TAB for Coventry Carol if you like: http://mountaindulcimer.ning.com/forum/categories/dulcimer-1/listForCategory it covers the subject of tabs along with other learning materials.Or,I don't mind if you just offer your tab in the general dulcimer discussion forum section either.

Dave, I think you asked me about my PA German zitter reproduction. I inadvertently deleted your comment on my page and I can't figure out how to get it back. There is brass wire for frets under the first two strings. There are five strings in all. I tune it D, D, A, A, A. I hope I am replying to correct person. This is all new to me.

Dave, just restrung mine (again!) getting costly on strings. Got a 24 Bass, 14 in the middle, and Two 13 for the melody, seems to give it a bit more punch, particulary when tuned Dac, which I seem to be stuck on at the moment. Thanks for the reply, JohnH

Hi Dave, I agree with you about playing on a music box, it does seem to ask for the noter style, and I also play stuff on it that is probably not what might be called mainstream by many folkies over here. I find that I spend a lot of time just doodling, particularly at the lower end, you can get some real atmospheric sounds when you slide around a bit! Do you always keep it in the same tuning? And Suzanne, I,m envious! I,m seen David Schnaufer on UTube, but would have loved to have been able to compare the old Music Boxes. I don't think I'll find any over here. Regards to you both, JohnH

Dave i too just want to comment on your playing. That was a pretty song and i enjoyed the simplicity of it. Thanks for sharing with us. Also could you show us more pictures of your TMB. It looks like a very beautiful Dulcimer. ThanksBill
